Saturday, May 4th - Dinner at 7:00, Show at 8:00
I asked Brad to try to work us in a year ago, and we are so lucky that he has agreed to come over for an evening. He lives in upstate New York but plays frequently in the south, his home, both solo and as a member of the Dexateens. There's not a video for my favorite song of his but you can buy and download it here for a buck!
He has a new album coming out April 19th and you can pre-order/buy here.
Critics said before a recent New York performance: "Never fear, there's always ample time for Armstrong to make you cry and think too much with his heart-boxing sad songs and ethereal imagery. Armstrong finds comfort between the notes and in spaces musically that most people miss. Decidedly more beautiful off-kilter than shiny and upright, his songs spark memories you never even knew existed, as if you've just become best friends with a total stranger. It's simply that good...don't sleep"
A ticket is a donation that goes 100% to the artist. Sunstroke House is Jami and Tommy Nettles - we open our home and provide dinner as our gift to everyone who comes to a show because we adore music-loving friends. We are able to get such amazing musicians because we all chip in, but we also understand if you cannot afford to make the suggested donation - just contact us directly at [email protected] and it will be handled discreetly.
